Yes, reservations are required for guaranteed spots on all tours of paragliding and camping in Bir Billing. Reservations help us determine the number of guests, so that we can allocate good experienced pilots accordingly for all our booked guests for paragliding, and it allow us to notify you of changes to the tour due to weather or anything that could disturb the tours.

If you show up on the same day makes unavailability and guests have to fly with low experienced teams with old equipment as there are many hawkers like person roaming around.

Paragliding sessions:-

15 to 20 min paragliding session is INR 3000/- +Tax
20 to 30 min paragliding session is INR 3500/- +Tax
30 to 45 min paragliding session is INR 5000/- + Tax
45 to 60 min paragliding session is INR 6500/- + Tax

Camping  at Bir Billing:-

Camp Oak View – INR 2500/- Per Person including Dinner+ Breakfast.

Trekking Guide:-

Full day guide at Bir is INR 2000/-
Half day guide is INR 1000/-

We understand that you may not have a printer handy, when you’re traveling so it is not necessary to have a printed copy. However, we require that you show ID matching your reservation and also the Order  ID# that is immediately emailed to you after you make your reservation or copy of mail in you phone.

To ensure the booking, 50% of the total payment at the time of booking and balance once you will check in at the camp.

Cancelation Policy:-

20 days prior to travel date:                  Full refund advance payment.

20 days onwards:                                    No refund.

If Rain or bad weather and no paragliding than full refund.

Paragliding weight limit is 25-90 kg, if weight is between 90-115 kg the paragliding team charge INR 500/- extra and also decide it at the time of paragliding, depending upon fitness of person.

Preparation

Dress up as per weather condition on the day of Paragliding.

Proper shoes.
Jacket and long pants for all weather conditions.
One can wear cap.
Sunglasses as per your preference for Paragliding at Bir Billing.

For Paragliding, guests / Tourist need to meet Paragliding Team at Paragliding Landing area known as Chougan or landing ground.
Paragliding landing spot is 4300 feet from sea level. Guests register and drive with paragliding team for further 18 km drive, which takes almost 45 mins to Reach Billing ehich is Paragliding Take off site at 8000 feets from sea level.
Guests need to run for couple of steps during take-off in slope of Billing, glider fills with air and makes glider carry weight of gusts and pilot both during flight in air.
At landing guests need to follow pilots instruction to keep your legs properly for safe landing at Bir.

Tandem paragliding at Bir Billing open from October to June and closed only during monsoon for 2 months every year. Anyone can fly without any prior experience, one can enjoy amazing views of Kangra valley, Oak forest and snow covered peaks of Himalaya’s. No previous training required. Things to Carry for Paragliding.

  • Proper Laced Shoes – feet are hanging freely during paragliding, if shoes are properly fit, then may fall during your flight. And not able to trek as forest area down to your flight.
  • Proper Pants or long Pants.
  • Jacket with you, It may cold any time at take off point or during flight. Some time wind is not proper at take off and need to wait there some time and its very cold. Bir Billing apart from each other by 16 km. If you are doing camping in Bir do carry jacket irrespective of season
  • Sun glasses.
  • Suns cream with 20 SPF.
  • motion sickness medicine if you have problem in mountain travel as there is 16 km mountain drive to paragliding take off point, its always affect guests with motion sickness issue.
  • You can carry your mobile phone and wallet during paragliding, but handover to pilots if you not any locket or zipped pocket.

Questions about Paragliding and Bir Billing.

Minimum age required for Paragliding is 12 years. No one allowed to fly having age less than 12, even kids not allowed to fly with parents.
There is no upper age limit but need fitness to do adventure activity, we had guests age more tan 70, who did paragliding.
Weight limit at Bir Billing for Paragliding is 25 to 90 kg for normal flying and weight limit increase or decrease as per weather conditions at Bir Billing.

Paragliding Landing site is meeting point and guests can be picked from hotel if it located in Bir locality. Drop is not included as guests spend time at Paragliding landing site for experience photography, cafe’s and visit Tibetan colony which is 1.5 km for shops and monasteries.

Other members visiting Bir Billing and not doing paragliding can wait at Paragliding landing area.
Landing area is a open ground in the open area having view of take off mountain and other mountain range. Options of Cafe’s and visit monasteries. Family member can stay here see flying’s.
If your family members want to visit Billing paragliding take off point is is curvy mountain road can drive in your own car or taxi.
Paragliding team not take guests to take off point who are not doing paragliding.

Most of the guests travelling have no prior experience of Paragliding and this is perfectly fine. Pilot flying with you is certified from Himachal Tourism and experienced pilots. Pilot will brief you thoroughly before you take off of Paragliding. You have to experience the flying rest noting required any prior experience.

If Paragliding team decides wind and weather is not appropriate for paragliding, you will be informed before paragliding flight. This is sometime last minute decision for safety of Paragliding pilot and guest flying along. One can reschedule its flying to next day or cancel it and get full refund.

Gopro video provided to guests doing Paragliding as complimentary no charges of it. You can transfer it to your phone post activity and recheck it before leaving from there as sometime files get corrupted and pilots also delete it after transferring it. There is no change to get video again and these vide not kept saved.

Guests can carry mobile phone, valets with them during paragliding flight, but you can hand over to pilots during flight for safety . One can also use their camera and phone for photography but carefully as its unsafe to use it in air. Complimentary video provided , so no need to use you phone. Keep you phone safe as if it fall, no one can search it as all forest area.

There is only one guest can fly with one paragliding pilot. Guests fly one by one with their respected pilots as per wind conditions and all have different flying time. No one can fly with wife, kid or pet animals. If more than one guest or group, it also same time as we send same number of pilots as number of guests and take similar time.
