Paragliding in Phulla-Dhara village (Mandi) – 360 degree.

Take off site called as 360 degree point at 2600 mts from seal level and view all round. This point is not recognized by Govt but become popular for solo pilots who visit Bir for cross country flying, they take halt for few hours or stay overnight during their cross country flying and continue flying after that. This point is near Barot and very beautiful.  One can fly over Barot valley and Jogindernagar while flying from this paragliding point.

Paragliding in Indrunag – Dharamashala and Macleodganj.

Indrunag Paragliding take off point is 5 km from Dharamshala main market. Paragliding take off point is approved in 2011 by Himachal Tourism department to promote tourism. Air time of Paragliding flight is 8 to 10 min in Dharamahala. Spot of Paragliding point is somewhere 14 km from Macleodganj.

Paragliding in Himachal at Bilaspur.

Bilaspur developed for paragliding in recent years for developing adventure sport destination to attract more tourists. Bilaspur is a small paragliding spot hosted paragliding compition in 2019. Bandla hill is take off point and landing area in open ground near it.

There are three paragliding spots in Kullu Manali flying. Most safe spot at Dobhi near Kullu with 10 min session, Second Paragliding spot at Solang valley which is 2-5 min session of Paragliding and third is Madhi which is 10 to 20 min paragliding session.

Hike to Sunset Point near old local house in Bir Billing:-

Bir village and Small hike through village trail crossing two small streams and two small village houses. View from sunset point is towards Palampur having view of Palpung Sherabling monastery, Garh mata view, Asha puri devi towers view, Dhouladhar mountain range and valley in front. Sunset in winters in Palampur valley and towards Dhouladhar mountain range in summers. One can see sunset from there and return back to camp Oak View before dark.

Hike to Bari village, Bir.

Trek is 3-4 km from Camp Oak view passing through Oak, Rhododendron and Oak forest. Trekking is through connecting village trail. Trek trail through Dhanadi and Bari village. Trekking is easy and having view of Bir village and Dhouladhar mountain range. One can trek to Bir post villages to reach Forest guest house.

Trek to Tribal village, Thathi village

Trek is 16 km round way takes 6 to 7 hrs, trail to Thathi village passing through marred village. Trekking is easy and passing all three tribal villages of Thathi (tribal village) – Kothar Thathi, Kryon Thathi and main village is Chougan Thathi. Houses in villages are old styled having ground floor for cattle’s and upper part for them, Houses made up of stone and wooden logs. Villagers depend upon agriculture and cattle’s.

Cyling trail is off road and best experience near Camp oak View in Bir Billing valley.
